Victoria Cirks is the Rural Research Alliance Lead for the Midwest Regional Educational Laboratory. She is a Senior Technical Assistance Consultant in the Education Program at American Institutes for Research with more than 10 years of experience designing and providing technical assistance at the state, district, and school level to improve student outcomes. She also serves as the Iowa State Manager for the Midwest Comprehensive Center, managing the center’s technical assistance to the Iowa Department of Education. Previously, she served as a technical assistance liaison for the College and Career Readiness and Success Center leading its competency-based education work and served as a project lead for the Great Lakes East Comprehensive Center (GLE), managing and facilitating technical assistance to the Ohio Department of Education for its competency-based education policy and safe and supportive learning projects. In addition, she served as the GLE project lead for the career and technical education (CTE) standards revision project, working with the Indiana Department of Education to increase the rigor of its CTE standards and to align them with the Common Core State Standards and has worked with the National High School Center on high school improvement and college and career readiness initiatives.
